Trend forecasters and decor gurus predict that during this and the coming year we will strive to bring nature into our homes.   Do not fear they do not mean dust off the ferns and whip out gran’s macramé.  No this trend will be more subtle and will be achieved with colour and other decor elements, for example; wallpaper, pillows that look like leaves, ottomans that mimic rocks etc.

Last week on my way to drop kids at school I spotted some tree fellers cutting down a huge old tree.  The initial sadness of another oxygen provider gone, was soon replaced with inspiration.  One stop and two phone calls later (not mentioning some very stiff tummy and arm muscles two days later) some logs found their way to my garage.

Log + mirror + paint = nature in my house

And now nature sports a bit of bling in my living room.
