How-To Tuesday Buttoned-Up Frame

Hestelle Robinson

After reading about the Buttons4Hope foundation and all the good work they do with buttons, well actually with people who uses buttons, but you know what I mean, I was inspired to get me some buttons as well.

So today my How-To Tuesday is on turning an ordinary frame into a razzling dazzling buttoned-up picture frame.

Materials used: Buttons (you can buy these at any craft shop), picture frame, glue gun (am sure crafters glue will also work) Cost of project:  R32-00.  Time:  45min

You really do not need a step-by step with this one, one tip though make sure you have enough buttons, it will takes more buttons than you think.  Also decide beforehand if you would like to hang the frame or stand it up as it will affect where you place the buttons.

I might just have discovered a new cupboard addiction.  To be added to the list of among other things, ribbon, wool and dishwasher tablets (this will need a longer blog to explain).  And the new addiction …. buttons!

I find myself looking at all kinds of weird and wonderful things around me, thinking "Mmmm now that will look fan-tas-tic with a few buttons on!"

So, I could not resist the primal urge to bedazzle a wine bottle with some buttons.

A stunning union of two of my favorite things - wine and buttons (warning first finish the wine before you stick the buttons on, there should be a warning on wine bottles "Do not operate a hot glue while drinking wine"

May inspiration find you.
