The 2014 Gauteng HOMEMAKERS Expo is presenting BOLD, BRIGHT and INDIVIDUAL ideas and products covering all the latest trends on the home front. 350 exhibitors are ready to inspire 50 000 expected visitors and the sought after show features of 2014 will be nothing less than spectacular!
The line-up of Show Features and points of interest include the Décor & Furniture Avenue, where visitors will find unique items for their décor & furniture needs. The Builders DIY Theatre, with renowned experts giving visitors DIY ideas and solutions when it comes to renovating and decorating their gardens and homes. Young Designers Come to Light brought to you by students of the Design School of Southern Africa (DSSA) presenting an innovative display of BOLD, BRIGHT and INDIVIDUAL lighting designs.
The Repurpose[d] recycling feature brought to you by the University of Johannesburg’s (UJ) Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture students showcasing an incredible new take on repurposing and up-cycled items.
We welcome the Gauteng Barista Regionals and SCASA to our 2014 COFFEE LOVERS THEATRE, where Gauteng’s best coffee makers will battle it out under the discerning eyes of national and international judges. Be part of Barista competition history, as you view the intricacies and passion of the men and women who make great coffee happen in this city.
Support our Community Project, A Brick in the Wall and donate a “brick” for R20 at the 2014 Expo. The project will support the Meals on Wheels branch in Orange Farm with 140 beneficiaries. Fifteen volunteers are currently cooking and driving this project from an informal structure (shack). They desperately need help to upgrade this branch in order to boost growth in this community.
