So you require hot water at your office kitchen, but don’t want the expense of installing a large conventional geyser? No problem!
Cobra Watertech has designed a series of mini instant water heaters that suit areas where the volume of hot water usage is low, such as medical suites, office kitchenettes, clinics, and domestic kitchens.
South Africa’s plumbing industry has lauded the advanced systems of the Cobra Prisma Deluxe and Cobra Boil Hot Water Heaters. The Cobra Prisma Deluxe are available in 10l, 15l and 30l units while the Cobra Boil – for smaller applications – are available from 2.5l to 25l.
The instant water heaters solve the problem of having to wait for hot water from larger electric water heaters (geysers) that are installed some distance from the point of use, thus avoiding heat loss through long lengths of pipe.
Cobra Prisma Deluxe Heaters have a Titanium glass-lined cylinder for longer life. All units have a gloss finish non-corrosive polypropylene outer casing, which provides aesthetic appeal and will not discolour over time.
Water remains heated for longer periods, thanks to thick polyurethane foam insulation inside the cylinder that prevents heat loss, thus saving on high electricity bills. Units are fitted with a larger sacrificial anode, providing additional inner cylinder protection.
Features on the Cobra Boil Hot Water Heaters include: on-tap boiling water; advanced electronic controls; safe, hygienic and energy saving; steam-free; convenient stainless steel or white casing; wall mounted and fully automatic.
External temperature controls are fitted with a maximum temperature setting of 75º C. The thermostat will cut out when the required temperature is reached, although the recommended setting is 60° C.
Faulty thermostats and elements can be replaced when necessary. There’s 12-month guarantee on the inner titanium cylinder, the element and thermostat.
Water quality caution is suggested if the boiling water unit is to be connected to a water supply with a high content of silica or calcium. Water supplies of this nature may be detrimental to the unit’s operation and may cause the warranty to become void.
