Make sure that you have the proper cleaning products in your home to keep your home spotless all year round. Tiles and grout accumulate dirt in many different ways and your bathroom tiles, kitchen splash back or swimming pool can get pretty grimy.
In the bathroom, it's usually mould or mildew causing the grout to stain. In the kitchen it could be a combination of food stains, general household traffic, grime and mildew. “Stay away from abrasive cleaners as this will damage your tiles and your bathroom ware in the long run,” says Sharon Hill, technical adviser for TAL.
To clean grout spray or apply a cleaner onto a small area and scrub with a brush or cloth to remove the dirt. Scrubbing in small circles rather than straight up and down will remove more waste from the grout. Rinse well with water and mop up any remaining moisture with a sponge or cloth.
A working filtration system and proper pH levels will ensure a sparkling clean pool. Maintain your pool tiles by using a manual brush and pool vacuum on all areas of the walls and floor at least once a week, even if your pool is equipped with an automatic system. Use a sanitizer to help fight bacteria and shock the pool on a regular basis to help keep it clean and crystal-clear.
A general household cleaner such as TAL Glint, offers a special blend of mild chemicals and detergents, designed to clean and shine ceramic tiles and to rejuvenate grout. It also removes grease and soap residues and is ideal for use in areas such as the kitchen, bathroom and swimming pool.
