A helping hand in the kitchen
Help! There is a stove in my kitchen
Author: Annabel Frere | Published: Random Struik
Help! There is a stove in my kitchen is an essential accessory in any new chef’s kitchen. It contains more than 170 recipes that are ideal for young adults who have mostly never had to cook for themselves and want to learn how to do it properly from the get go. It is packed with ideas on what to prepare and how to go about it. The recipes range from basic to impressive, but are all relatively quick and easy to make. In some cases several options are given for one recipe, such as quiche fillings, to suit different tastes and to expand the budding cook’s repertoire. This lovely illustrated guide also takes budget into consideration, using mainly low-cost items, a minimum number of ingredients and also gives tips on how to save electricity, time and energy in and around the house. Definitely a wonderful housewarming or kitchen tea gift and ideal for those people who need extra help in the kitchen.
About the author:
When her younger daughter was in high school Annabel Frere was asked to run the school’s tuck shop. With the help of volunteers they devised wholesome daily menus and shared fool proof recipes with one another. Many of the mothers expressed an interest in a cookbook aimed at school leavers and young adults and that is how the idea for this cookbook was born.
