The fifteenth Cape HOMEMAKERS Expo, which took place from Thursday (2 September) tol Sunday (5 September) at the CTICC, was again a roaring success with more than 300 exhibitors and attracting 33 000 visitors.
According to Mr John Leyden, Director of Strategic Business Development for HOMEMAKERS and one of the organisers of the show, the standard of exhibits stalls was nothing short of excellent. “We’re very impressed with the high standard of this year’s stands and the effort by exhibitors to present their products and services to the public in the finest way possible. The CTICC was transformed into a one stop home improvement and interior decorating location for the four days of the expo. General feedback from exhibitors indicates that business was good, with record breaking sales experienced by some. A large amount of participants also added that their order books are full for the next few months.
“The general feeling amongst exhibitors is that the public is more optimistic - maybe this is an indication that the end of our financial recession is in sight. Several clients also expressed that this year’s expo was better than that of last year. The feedback once again shows that expos can be an important component of a company’s marketing strategy. For the duration of the four days more than 33 000 visitors were exposed to over 320 products. Our attendance rate has increased with a further 9, 01%, signifying that there is a definite revival in the interest taken in home improvements,” says Leyden.
“We would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all our exhibitors, visitors and service providers for their contribution to the success of this year’s expo. We’re definitely doing this again next year, so join us at the annual Cape HOMEMAKERS Expo from 1 to 4 September 2011 at the CTICC,” Leyden concluded.
