The 2018 edition of the Johannesburg HOMEMAKERS Expo, held at the Ticketpro Dome from 22-25 February, set the stage for over 320 top-notch exhibitors to share their latest home, décor and lifestyle products with discerning homeowners. This year’s show was nothing short of dynamic with highlights ranging from demonstrations by DIY celebs to food theatres to design competitions, all keeping visitors informed and entertained.
The Expo celebrated its 25th year as one of the leading events in the home improvement and lifestyle sector, and proved once again that it has its finger firmly on the pulse of what’s trending in Gauteng. The show featured expertly curated selection of the region’s hottest interiors, soft furnishings, lighting, kitchens, furniture, landscape design and more.
Highlights this year included the tuis |home theatre, an interactive hub where visitor could sit down, taste, touch and be entertained by the Home magazine personalities. Another jam-packed attraction was the Vermont Renovation Theatre, DIY enthusiasts had a royal time test driving some pretty impressive power tools. South African paint fanatics could not believe their luck as they got the opportunity to attend free sessions by international paint technique specialist Mark Mendes who managed to fit in some workshops as part of his sell-out international tour

It won the Product of the Year Award in the TV category for South Africa earlier in February.
We had a special guest at our show this year. Celebrity chef and TV personality Lorna Maseko whipped up some delicious treats at the Siemens Home stand that our visitors simple could not resist.
