No Negative

The idea for a name was born many years ago when I lost the negatives to some photos. Suddenly the photos became more precious because there was no negative to reprint it from.   

Along with my principles of avoiding the use of plastics, sourcing only locally produced materials adopting a Zero Waste approach in both my studio and home; NO NEGATIVE became the obvious choice for my brand name. 

I am Charlene, the hands behind the handmade and fibre is my medium of choice. I source only local raw materials, support fellow small businesses and am developing a secret obsession with hemp. 

Each finished project is unique, and even when remade, will vary from the original design.  

My two daughters are currently my only permanent staff but I am grateful to be able to employ them in a climate that pushes us to recreate our futures.
