What’s the difference between wood burning and pallet fireplaces?
Both types of stoves produce a cozy dry heat. The dry radiant heat from a wood stove is warm and comforting, but it can’t be maintained. The pellet stove operates when its hopper has been filled with fuel or pellets – which are easily adjustable in temperature depending on your preference-and then the thermostat controls how much you want to blast off at once!
What is the best wood to use in your fireplace?
The different woods burn and process differently. It depends on what you are using it for, but we recommend Black Wattle & Bluegum as the preferred options because both of these alien tree species grow in South Africa – there’s plenty available!
To ensure the best possible performance from your wood-burning fireplace, it’s important that you use dry and cured firewood with less than 20% moisture level.
