Variations of Skylights

Less commonly seen are tubular skylights, which are cost-effective alternatives that can also work in smaller spaces.

They operate by capturing light in a dome, transferring it down a high reflectivity tube, and diffusing the light evenly into the space – making it a great option when the architecture of your home doesn’t allow for a fixed or ventilated skylight.

Getting more onto the aesthetical side of things are pyramid skylights. Shaped exactly how they sound, they offer a focal point to your home and increase curbside appeal.

However, they’re not just about the beauty – the pyramid shape is better at repelling water than flat skylights, so you don’t have to worry about possible pooling and cracking due to water retention.
