Fast food is good. Fast food at home is even better! Veggie wraps are a quick and easy meal to make at home in under 15 minutes.
2 red onions, sliced
2 large tomatoes, diced
½ cup hummus or mayonnaise
4 flour tortillas
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp of paprika
50g cheddar cheese
20g feta cheese
2 sliced avocados
Step 1: Prepare a frying pan with your choice of cooking spray, butter or oil.
Step 2: Fry your onions on medium heat until they begin to caramelize.
Step 3: Add your diced tomato and fry for a few minutes. You don’t want your tomatoes soggy.
Step 4: Season your onion and tomato mix with paprika, salt and pepper.
Step 5: Lay a flour tortilla out. This can be substituted with any type of flatbread of your choice.
Step 6: Add a tablespoon of hummus or mayonnaise and assemble your tortilla with your onion and tomato mix, cheeses and avocado.
Step 7: Fold your wrap and fry lightly on each side in a newly prepared frying pan. You do not need a lot of oil to get a crispy wrap. Cooking spray works fine here!
